Infographic : the environmental impact of digital pollution

Digital pollution refers to all forms of pollution generated by the computer sector.
The figures of digital pollution are constantly increasing over the years, today if the Internet was a country it would be the third largest consumer of electricity after China and the United States. 

Experts are now formal: internet pollutes.
 
Digital pollution has multiple causes: 
The structures where electronic devices are manufactured are very energy-intensive
-Digital pollution from email: sending 20 emails a day is equivalent to driving 100km by car
-Digital pollution from streaming: the worldwide consumption of streaming emits 300 million tons of CO2 per year
-Digital pollution from data centers: a data center of 100,000 m2 consumes on average as much energy as a city of 50,000 inhabitants.
